Ann Marie Auricchio (b. 1972, Queens, NY) is an abstract painter living and working in New Orleans, LA. In addition to showing her first ever solo exhibition in New York with 5-50 Gallery, she is currently presenting an exhibition at the Wiregrass Museum in Alabama. Auricchio earned her BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art and has attended residencies at the Joan Mitchell Center and the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. She is a recipient of a Bolster Arts Continuum Fellowship, funding from Karen Shea and Gabe Silverman Endowment, and the Joan Mitchell Foundation. Recent solo exhibitions have been held at the Ferrara Showman Gallery (New Orleans, LA), the Spring/Break Art Show NYC, and Michael Warren Contemporary (Denver, CO) Her work has been exhibited nationally in commercial galleries as well as with institutional spaces such as White Columns NY, the Painting Center NY, the Alexandria Museum Ann Marie Auricchio Artist Statement/Bio LA, and the Contemporary Art Center New Orleans. Auricchio previously held a 25-year tenure in the entertainment industry as a scenic artist and designer for film, theater, and television. Her work has been reviewed in the Denver Post, Inside of Knoxville, and Whitehot Magazine.
